The reason he hasn’t just flat-out got his fan-name is because you can’t just trademark the phrase ‘Cherry Cola’.

And then here’s today’s pony, Apple Stars! Before doing this I asked myself: is there a type of apple called Stars?
Well, no. There isn’t. There is, however, an apple trademarked(!?) as Jazz.
But there’s still a connection - the pips on the inside of an apple form a star shape!

Argh, another late pony. Yesterday was not a day conducive to pony-drawing, you see.
This is Lily Valley, and she rounds off the toys of the flower trio ponies that are common extras in the show. Lily is the girly one. Considering the only roles of all of them are to scream when something bad happens, that’s something. Most shows would keep them all as the girly one.

Berry Dreams works in an expensive restaurant producing delicious desserts and foods for the hungry customer! She’s a little on the tough side, though, so keep your distance and lay off any invasive action.
(Ah, late a little bit. My apologies!)

Lucky Clover and Lucky Dreams both have ‘Lucky’ in their names and a love of running, but while Dreams is more cross-country, Clover confines himself to the racetrack. He’s not very competitive - definitely a lover rather than a fighter - but he does do what he does very well. Some might call it luck.

We’ve seen pony weddings, but Princess Celestia can’t be the person surveying all of them, can she? Enter Lilac Links, a pony who dedicates her time to bonding ponies of all shapes and sizes in marriage!

Caramel Apple is Apple Dazzle’s little sister and, as one can tell from the name and cutie mark, the creator of some absolutely lovely caramel apple snacks! She’s also very over-eager and a bit self-centred, but hey - we all have to agree that she looks the sweetest.

This is Holly Dash! Holly Dash is a somewhat special pony, for the precise reason of, she’s the OC of a person who worked on the show for a while, and essentially the pony version of that person. Now she’s an official pony figure. Wow. That’s pretty damn awesome.
Now, I know that every pony on this blog, every toy that was redrawn, was at some point somebody’s design. Holly is particularly special, though. Although we have artists who design ponies on the show, Holly’s designer is one of the few who is publicly credited with the design. So, as a change to the anonymously-created and vector recolour ponies I usually deal with, Holly here is pretty much the same Holly. I just gave her a fancy hairdo.

Tumblr broke before I could post Sweetie Drops! D: On the plus side, I went to bed earlier.
Incidentally, little Sweetie Drops does not know Heartstrings. Like, at all. Seriously, they don’t know each other. Why would they? Heartstrings is a grown woman and a mom, and it’s not like Sweetie Drops knows her daughter or anything. They might catch glimpses around town but that’s pretty much it. You personally know thousands of people that way, so it’s nothing special.

Who’s up for some Apple Fritter goodness? She’s certainly a very cute pony!
She’s also definitely based on a pony from the show, unlike Groomsby whose origins are confusing. Again, though, this is a pony whose artwork fur colour is not really matched the actual plastic, unless it’s all getting affected by the hair colour paint…

So a little while back this huge set with Nightmare Moon appeared, and inside was a surprise pony by the title of Lemony Gem. When the packshot was zoomed out a lot of people thought she was Lemon Hearts because of her close colours.
While looking around on the internet for stuff based on sapphires I suddenly wondered why I was always shooting for uses or metaphors. The idea of G4 is supposed to be ‘any kind of girl is a-okay’ but my head seems to be stuck in the mode of ‘but not doing the dirty work’ (unless we’re talking about mechanic girls. I sort of like mechanic girls).
So let’s have a change.
Lemony Gem is a miner. An honest-to-Celestia, down-in-the-tunnels miner. A pick-bearing, light-shining miner.
She might be very clean-looking in this picture but this is just the start of the work day.

Why is it so many ponies are getting next-to-identical-sounding names? This is Sunny Rays, who is yet another yellow-bodied, pink-haired pony with wings. There are quite a few of these going around, apparently.
Not to mention this pony also had the same cutie mark as Merry May! So I had to refashion it a bit, especially to suit her name.
Sunny Rays here is a very, very smart girl, although not that socially adept. She’s easily embarrassed by her good grades and has a tendency to turn bright red and mute when prompted about it. Sadly for her, her good grades are often the only reason anybody talks to her, seeing as she doesn’t show much interest outside of her workbooks (or of her house), so she’s never really… talked to anyone. Ever.
